Malagón (Ciudad Real): postal workers at Correos remain on indefinite strike; rallies from 11 May

Postal workers at the Correos office in Malagón (Ciudad Real) have been on indefinite strike for more than 22 days (as of 11 May 2026), called by Sindicato Libre de Correos. From 11 May daily protests will be held in front of the office in response to the company's continued silence. The grievances have been mounting for years: chronic understaffing, leave and absence not covered, work overload, constant reorganisation and a progressive deterioration of postal services. Thousands of items are backlogged, including medical correspondence and official notifications. This may become the longest postal strike in the history of Correos in the province of Ciudad Real.
