Wallonia: LETEC bus and tram strike announced for 27–28 August 2026

The joint union front (CGSP Tram-Bus-Métro, Synova and CSC Services publics) has announced a 48-hour strike across the entire LETEC bus and tram network in Wallonia on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 August 2026, after a regional conciliation meeting in early August ended without agreement. The dispute centres on the payment of 2026 eco-vouchers and wider cost-saving measures at the operator. Major disruption is expected on both days, which fall in the first week of the new school year.
