Brittany: BreizhGo regional coach strike on Friday 16 October 2026 (CAT Transdev drivers)
Last Updated:
Coach drivers at CAT (Compagnie armoricaine de transport, a Transdev subsidiary) are on strike on Friday 16 October 2026 across its depots in Brittany, according to the CGT, which calls it the first full strike day after walkouts since 5 October.
What to expect: the regional travel service KorriGo lists cancelled runs today on BreizhGo coach lines in Morbihan, Ille-et-Vilaine, Côtes d'Armor and Finistère, and Bibus in Brest reports departures not run on several lines because of a subcontractor's strike on 15 and 16 October. Trains are not affected. Check KorriGo or your line's page before travelling.
Why: the union cites low pay against the cost of living, under-investment in vehicles and depots, a company health plan it considers insufficient, and pressure on working conditions from the tendering of regional lines. The CGT transport federation has also announced a national week of action from 16 to 20 November.
This alert was originally created on 16 October 2026.
