France: easyJet France pilots strike on 1–2 October 2026 (postponed twice, from 13–14 and 24–25 September)

The easyJet France pilots' strike planned for Thursday 1 and Friday 2 October 2026 has been called off. On the evening of 25 September the pilots' union SNPL lifted its notice after reaching an agreement in principle with easyJet on roster stability, which it says should give pilots a better balance between work and family life. The agreement still has to be approved in a vote of SNPL members at easyJet; if they rejected it, a new strike notice would have to be filed.

The notice had already been moved twice: the strike was first called for 13–14 September, postponed to 24–25 September when easyJet agreed to resume talks, and postponed again on 19 September to 1–2 October.

What to expect: nothing — easyJet flights to and from its French bases (Paris-Orly, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Lyon, Nice, Nantes, Bordeaux and Toulouse) operate normally on 1 and 2 October.

Why the dispute arose: pilots complained of chronic roster instability, with schedules changed several times a week, sometimes up to ten times for a single day before departure. After cabin crew struck on 15–16 August (98 cancellations), easyJet granted them five "untouchable" days per month and compensation for changes of more than two hours; SNPL asked for the same protections for pilots, which the September agreement is meant to deliver.
