Germany: ver.di calls Deutsche Telekom workers to strike on 11 and 12 May 2026 across 15 states

ver.di (Vereinte Dienstleistungsgewerkschaft) is running two-day warning strikes at Deutsche Telekom on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 May 2026, timed with the third round of wage negotiations in Potsdam. The action is split geographically: on 11 May, workers in Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Thüringen, Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt and Nordrhein-Westfalen are out; on 12 May, the action extends to Niedersachsen, Bremen, Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Bayern and Baden-Württemberg. A central rally is planned in Potsdam (Mercure Hotel Lange Brücke, 11:00) with around 3,000 employees expected. ver.di's core demand is a 6.6 percent wage increase plus a member bonus for around 60,000 collective-agreement employees; the employer has not made an offer in the first two rounds.
