Cagliari: SOGAER airport workers' strike on 13 September 2026 (11:00–15:00)

Workers across the SOGAER group, which operates Cagliari-Elmas Airport, are scheduled to strike for four hours on Saturday 13 September 2026, from 11:00 to 15:00, in an action called by FILT-CGIL, FIT-CISL and Uiltrasporti. The stoppage continues a long-running dispute at the airport: staff say bonuses and allowances have gone unpaid even as the airport posts record passenger numbers and profits, and earlier four-hour strikes were held in May 2026.

Check-in, boarding and other ground services may be delayed during the strike window. Flights in the protected time bands (07:00–10:00 and 18:00–21:00) operate normally; passengers travelling through Cagliari in the early afternoon should check their flight status before heading to the airport.

Update (8 September 2026): this strike has been called off. FILT-CGIL, FIT-CISL and Uiltrasporti revoked the 13 September stoppage, and no walkout by these unions takes place at Cagliari-Elmas on that day. A separate four-hour strike by another union covering SOGAER security and operations staff is still scheduled for 13 September, 13:00–17:00 and is tracked as its own entry.
