Palermo: AMAT bus and tram strike on Monday 9 November 2026 (11:00–15:00, CUB Trasporti)

The grassroots union CUB Trasporti has called a four-hour strike of AMAT staff in Palermo on Monday 9 November 2026, from 11:00 to 15:00. The notice was filed on 23 October and is listed as active on the strike guarantee commission's calendar.

What to expect: AMAT's city buses and tram lines may stop between 11:00 and 15:00; services before and after those hours run normally, as the strike falls outside the protected morning and evening bands. AMAT publishes its arrangements before the strike; check its notices before travelling.

Why: the union has not yet published the reasons for this call. CUB Trasporti's earlier strikes at AMAT in 2026 concerned working conditions of tram operators, staff shortages and the company's service contract with the city; this page will be updated when the union states the reasons for 9 November.
