Zaragoza: tram strikes from 19 October to 30 November 2026 (two-hour stoppages)
In 11 daysLast Updated:
The works committee of Los Tranvías de Zaragoza has called 21 two-hour stoppages spread over 19 days between Monday 19 October and Monday 30 November 2026, instead of the indefinite strike it had threatened. Drivers, customer service, ticket inspectors and the control centre are called out.
When: the stoppages fall in three time slots — 06:45–08:45, 13:00–15:00 and 16:45–18:45. The first is on Monday 19 October from 06:45 to 08:45, and on 30 November all three slots are affected. The dates in between have not been published yet; this page will be updated when they are.
What to expect: during each stoppage the city's single tram line (Valdespartera–Parque Goya) runs only minimum services, which have not been set yet.
Why: talks on the third collective agreement have failed. The workers want higher pay, a review of the shift supplement, fewer annual working hours and, for drivers, better route planning and rest breaks and safer conditions. A new meeting with the company is set for 23 October.
This alert was originally created on 1 October 2026.
