University of Cambridge support staff to strike on 30 April and 1 May over ‘Cambridge weighting’ pay demand

More than 500 Unite members at the University of Cambridge, including library, museum, estates, finance, student services and IT staff, will strike again on 30 April and 1 May. The union says workers need a local ‘Cambridge weighting’ supplement to address high living costs, rejecting the university’s imposed 1.4% pay rise as a real‑terms cut.
