University of Nottingham staff to strike on 22 May over more than 600 proposed job cuts

The University and College Union announced a one‑day strike at the University of Nottingham on 22 May 2026, with picket lines from 8am. The action follows the union’s warning that phase two of the university’s restructuring could cut over 600 jobs; a marking and assessment boycott from 20 May is also planned but is separate from the strike.
