JTRAN bus operators and other transit workers in Jackson, Mississippi went on strike on 13 July 2026 against contractor MV Transportation. The stoppage directly affects city bus service, and union and local reporting say the dispute centers on pay, safety, job security, and MV Transportation's proposed service and microtransit changes; the source also frames this as a new strike after an earlier 2024 walkout.
