Hotel workers at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown walked off the job on 21 June and continued their strike into 22 June, picketing outside the Center City hotel. The action by UNITE HERE Local 274 demands wages and benefits in line with the new citywide standard, including higher minimum pay and improved housekeeping quotas, as Philadelphia hosts World Cup events.
