USB

The USB is the largest organization within Italy's 'sindacalismo di base'. It adopts a confrontational approach to industrial relations and is active in organizing strikes and protests, particularly in local public transport, logistics, and parts of the aviation sector. Its agenda centers on opposition to austerity policies, precarious employment, and privatization of public services. While its institutional role is limited compared to major confederations, it has visible disruptive capacity in specific sectors.
