VCP

The VCP is one of the nationally represented trade union federations in the Netherlands. It focuses on the interests of highly skilled professionals and (depending on affiliate) certain managerial groups. Unlike the larger federations, the VCP is positioned as politically neutral and emphasizes expertise-driven advocacy. Its practical bargaining influence is usually exercised through its affiliated sectoral unions and professional associations rather than through broad, economy-wide wage coordination. It is a stakeholder in discussions on professional autonomy, pensions, and labor market policy, including in specialized sectors such as aviation and public safety.
