Lyon: TCL bus strike on 15 October 2026 (Keolis Bus Lyon)
In 6 daysLast Updated:
The CGT, UNSA and CFDT unions at Keolis Bus Lyon, which runs the buses of Lyon's TCL network for SYTRAL Mobilités, have called all bus staff to strike on Thursday 15 October 2026, with a rally at 09:00 outside SYTRAL's headquarters at Part-Dieu.
What to expect: TCL bus services may be cancelled or reduced on the day; the unions have not said how large the disruption will be. The call covers the bus mode only — metro, trams and funiculars are not part of it. TCL publishes its forecast before the strike.
Why: the unions want a real pay rise — they say a starting driver's €2,272 gross monthly pay has fallen behind price rises since 2020 — and complain of vehicle shortages, understaffing, unserved journeys and the heat in buses during this summer's heatwaves. They say management told them no budget is available because of the terms of the Keolis–SYTRAL contract.
This alert was originally created on 9 October 2026.
