Unions at the Louvre (CGT, CFDT, SUD) filed a rolling strike notice from 15 Dec over understaffing, degraded working conditions and security issues; museum was closed on 15 Dec and staff voted to extend, with partial reopening under reduced routing on 17–18 Dec.

After several days of stoppage and a partial reopening mid‑week, Louvre staff voted on Dec 19 to suspend their rolling strike and fully reopened the museum. As a result, the previously anticipated closures/curtailments for Dec 21–23 will not take place. A general assembly on Jan 5 will reassess next steps.
