Elbtunnel (A7 Hamburg) lane closures due to Autobahn GmbH strike on February 20 and 23

Workers represented by ver.di and the civil servants’ union (dbb) are striking at Autobahn GmbH’s Elbtunnel operations/control center in Hamburg. During the strike windows, one lane per direction is closed, reducing capacity to two lanes each way. The action extends into February 24 (until around 06:00) following the end of a separate full closure for works at 05:00 on February 23; overnight heavy transports via the A1 Norderelbbrücke could not be routed during the strike.

ver.di has called warning strikes at Autobahn GmbH affecting the Elbtunnel operations/control center and adjacent tunnel chain. During the strike windows, one lane per direction is closed (traffic reduced to two lanes each way). This coincides with a separate planned full closure of the A7/Elbtunnel from Feb 20, 22:00 to Feb 23, 05:00 for works, but the strike-driven lane closures apply before and after those times.
