Hanover region: regiobus warning strikes on 2, 4 and 6 November 2026 (ver.di) — one group of depots each day
TodayLast Updated:
The union ver.di has called full-day warning strikes at regiobus, the regional bus operator of the Hanover region, on Monday 2, Wednesday 4 and Friday 6 November 2026, one group of depots each day: on 2 November the Neustadt and Wunstorf depots (cancellations expected in Neustadt, Garbsen, Wunstorf and Seelze), on 4 November Mellendorf and Burgdorf (Wedemark, Burgwedel, Isernhagen, Langenhagen, Burgdorf, Uetze, Lehrte and Altwarmbüchen), and on 6 November Eldagsen (Springe, Wennigsen, Pattensen, Barsinghausen, Hemmingen and Ronnenberg).
What to expect: many regiobus trips in the areas served by the struck depots are cancelled for the whole day, including sprintH express buses from those towns into Hanover, and isolated cancellations are possible elsewhere. Buses run by regiobus's subcontractors, ÜSTRA's Stadtbahn and city buses, S-Bahn and regional trains and the sprinti on-demand service run normally. The trips actually running are shown on the day in the ÜSTRA app and journey planner.
Why: the stoppages are part of ver.di's nationwide bargaining round for the railway collective agreement (Eisenbahntarifvertrag), which also covers regiobus staff; no agreement with the employers has been reached so far.
This alert was originally created on 2 November 2026.
