Kreis Plön: VKP bus warning strike on Monday 19 October 2026, partial strikes 26 Oct, 2 and 9 Nov (ver.di)

ver.di has called the tariff staff of Verkehrsbetriebe Kreis Plön (VKP) to a full-day warning strike on Monday 19 October 2026, with further partial strikes by individual employees on 26 October, 2 November and 9 November.

What to expect: on 19 October all buses operated by VKP itself are cancelled across its network in the Plön district and on routes to Kiel and Neumünster; only trips run by its subcontractors (Kähler, Elite, de Kieler, Vineta and taxi services) operate, and VKP says it will maintain school transport where it can. On the partial-strike days VKP has not yet said which trips are affected. Check VKP's traffic information before travelling.

Why: the dispute is over the pay round for local transport staff in Schleswig-Holstein; according to the union's call as reported, ver.di asks for 6.5 per cent more pay and an annual payment of €650 for members.
