Schleswig-Holstein: municipal bus strike in Kiel, Lübeck, Flensburg and Neumünster on 21 September 2026

Bus drivers at the municipal transport companies of Kiel (KVG), Lübeck (Stadtverkehr Lübeck / Stadtwerke Lübeck Mobil), Flensburg (Aktiv Bus) and Neumünster (SWN) are called to a one-day warning strike on Monday 21 September 2026, from the start of service until the end of service. In Lübeck the harbour ferries run by Stadtwerke Lübeck Mobil stop as well.

The action is called by ver.di Nord, one day before the third bargaining round for the roughly 1,800 employees of the municipal operators in Schleswig-Holstein, after the second round ended with an offer the union rejected. ver.di is asking for 6.5% more pay over twelve months and an annual €650 benefit for members. It follows the two-day stoppage of 8–9 September in the same dispute.

Regional bus companies and rail services are not affected; the Autokraft/LVG networks run normally.
