Nottingham: NET tram strikes on 25 days from 22 October to 31 December 2026
In 13 daysLast Updated:
GMB has announced 25 more strike days on Nottingham's NET tram network between 22 October and 31 December 2026, in a pay dispute that the union says has run for almost a year. The dates:
- October: 22, 23, 30, 31
- November: 2, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28, 29
- December: 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 24, 26, 27, 31
The action covers drivers, ticketing staff, control-room staff, engineers, cleaners and office workers. GMB has not said whether the stoppages cover full days.
What to expect: tram services may be cancelled or heavily reduced on strike days, including the weekends before Christmas, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. NET publishes its plans before each strike day; check before travelling.
Why: the union wants "a serious offer on pay"; it says its members have been trying to resolve the dispute for almost a year. The same members struck on 26–27 September and 2–3 October 2026 during Goose Fair.
This alert was originally created on 9 October 2026.
