In 11 daysLast Updated:
24-hour strike at SASA, the urban bus operator of Bolzano, Merano and Laives, on Wednesday 30 September 2026, proclaimed jointly by FILT-CGIL, FIT-CISL/SGB, UILT-UIL, UGL Autoferro, ASGB, ORSA Trasporti and USB Lavoro Privato and filed with the transport ministry on 17 September.
What to expect: city buses in Bolzano and Merano, the BolzanoโLaives services and the other SASA routes in South Tyrol. Guaranteed morning and afternoon bands will be published by SASA before the strike; outside them, services may be cancelled for the whole day.
Why: the dispute over pay and working conditions at SASA that already produced a three-hour stoppage on 7 September; the unions say the provincial supplement no longer compensates for workloads and the cost of living in South Tyrol.
This alert was originally created on 18 September 2026.
