Tuscany: Pisa and Florence airport handling strike on Friday 30 October 2026 (24 hours)
In 13 daysLast Updated:
24-hour strike on Friday 30 October 2026 by staff of Toscana Aeroporti, GH Toscana and Consulta at Pisa Galileo Galilei and Florence Peretola airports, proclaimed by USB Lavoro Privato and filed with the transport ministry on 12 October. It replaces the 24-hour strike called for 16 October, which was withdrawn on 9 October after the strike guarantee commission intervened.
What to expect: check-in, boarding, baggage and ground handling at both Tuscan airports from 00:00 to 23:59; delays and some cancellations are possible. ENAC publishes the list of guaranteed flights before each strike, and flights in the protected bands (07:00–10:00 and 18:00–21:00) normally operate.
Why: a dispute in the Tuscan airports' handling companies, which already produced a four-hour stoppage on 13 September; the union also declared an overtime ban from 13 September to 12 October.
This alert was originally created on 13 October 2026.
