Tuscany: Pisa and Florence airport handling strike on 30 September 2026 (13:00–17:00)

Four-hour strike, 13:00–17:00, on Wednesday 30 September 2026 by staff of Toscana Aeroporti, GH Toscana and Consulta at Pisa and Florence airports, proclaimed by USB Lavoro Privato and filed with the transport ministry on 18 September.

What to expect: check-in, boarding, baggage and ground handling at Pisa Galileo Galilei and Florence Peretola during the afternoon window; delays are likely on departures and arrivals between 13:00 and 17:00. The stoppage coincides with the national ENAV air traffic control strike in the same hours, so flights at both airports face two sources of disruption that afternoon. Why: the dispute over staffing, shifts and contracts in the Tuscan airports' handling companies, which already produced a four-hour stoppage on 13 September.
