Meppel/Beilen/Nuenen: FrieslandCampina dairy plants strike on 2–3 June 2026

Workers at FrieslandCampina plants in Meppel and Beilen began a 24‑hour strike from 22:00 on 2 June, with the Nuenen site joining on 3 June from 06:00 to 22:00. The stoppage targets the sector’s collective agreement, with FNV Voedingsindustrie demanding at least a 4% pay rise for 2026 and improvements to shift allowances and job security, while employers have offered 3%. The union says more actions may follow if talks do not progress.
