FNV has placed a "Save the date" for a national strike of central government employees on 3 March 2026 in The Hague, part of the campaign against the 2026 wage freeze for civil servants. The action follows January stoppages at prisons and joint union actions across ministries; CNV and AC Rijksvakbonden are engaged in the same campaign. Details on exact scope and participating agencies to follow.

Unions FNV Zorg & Welzijn, CNV, and FBZ have called a nationwide 24-hour strike in the youth care sector on Monday, 2 March 2026, over a stalled collective agreement and workload/safety concerns. Thousands of workers are expected to gather in Utrecht while services across youth care organizations will be reduced or paused for the day.

Unions FNV Zorg & Welzijn, CNV, and FBZ announced 14 actions across 13 locations nationwide between 3 and 19 February 2026. Actions include working-to-rule and partial work stoppages to demand a comprehensive sectoral collective agreement addressing workload, safety, and staffing. Unions have warned of escalation after 19 February if no progress is made.

Employees at the De Schie prison (PI Rotterdam) will stop work for two hours on Tuesday, 27 January 2026, escalating a campaign against the government’s wage freeze. The action is organized by FNV with AC Rijksvakbonden and CNV and follows a one-hour stoppage at PI Nieuwersluis earlier in January.

FNV and CNV had called an indefinite strike at Envalior’s plastics plants (Emmen, Geleen) starting Jan 23, but suspended the action after the employer tabled an improved final offer. Planned stoppages covered through Monday Jan 26 are paused pending a member vote.

Unions FNV Overheid and CNV have issued an ultimatum to the Dutch government to scrap the 2026 pay freeze for approximately 150,000 central government civil servants. If unmet by 2026-01-13, they warn of strike actions, including work stoppages and possible rolling/estafette strikes.

CNV (with FNV support) set an ultimatum to Arkema Rotterdam: if no agreement by 2026-01-07 09:00, actions including strikes will follow.

Unions are calling a nationwide higher education strike, centered on a rally at Dam Square in Amsterdam, to protest budget cuts. Universities and universities of applied sciences expect work stoppages that day.

KLM ground staff at Amsterdam Schiphol are striking over CAO demands. Actions include a 4-hour stoppage on 2025-09-17 (08:00–12:00), followed by longer stoppages on 2025-09-24 (08:00–14:00) and 2025-10-01 (06:00–14:00). KLM said around 100 flights would be cancelled due to the 17 September action.
