Barcelona: possible TMB bus stoppages in the week of 5–9 October 2026 (two hours per shift, day not yet fixed)

After the seven-hour stoppage of 22 September, the assembly of TMB bus workers approved a further round of action: two-hour stoppages per shift on one day in the week of 5 to 9 October 2026, with the exact day still to be chosen. The six unions on the works committee (ACAT, ACTUB, CCOO, CGT, SIT and UGT) have given the company 12 to 15 days to present an acceptable offer on the new collective agreement — a 35-hour week, two consecutive rest days as ordered by the courts, and clearer rosters — and say the stoppage will be dropped if it does.

What to expect: on the chosen day, buses would stop for two hours in each shift, with minimum services set by the Generalitat; the metro is not involved. TMB says positions have "converged considerably" after a week of intense talks. Some reports say the committee also holds a mandate for daily stoppages if talks fail; that has not been called.
