Barcelona: TMB bus strikes on seven days in October 2026 (8–29 October, 09:00–11:00, 19:00–21:00 and 23:00–01:00)

The assembly of TMB bus workers in Barcelona has called seven days of partial strikes in October 2026 — Thursday 8, Wednesday 14, Thursday 15, Tuesday 20, Thursday 22, Tuesday 27 and Thursday 29 October — after talks on the new collective agreement broke down. On each of these days buses stop in three two-hour blocks: 09:00–11:00, 19:00–21:00 and 23:00–01:00. The calendar, announced on 25 September, replaces the earlier plan for a single day of stoppages in the week of 5–9 October.

What to expect: during the three stoppage windows TMB buses run only the minimum services set by the Catalan government, which have not been published yet for these dates. The metro is not part of this dispute.

Why: the workers want a 35-hour week, two consecutive rest days as ordered by the courts and clearer rosters in the new agreement. The dispute already led to the seven-hour stoppage of 22 September.
