Last Updated:

Minor Metro (urban public transport)

The works committee of Metro de Granada — CSIF, CCOO and UGT — has called 30 days of partial stoppages and four full-day strikes between 20 October 2026 and 8 January 2027, after talks on a new collective agreement with the operator Avanza stalled.

Partial stoppages: 20, 21, 23, 26, 27 and 30 October; 3, 4, 6, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17 and 20 November; 4, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22 and 23 December; 4, 7 and 8 January. The hours of the stoppages have not been published yet.

Full-day strikes: 27 and 28 November, 28 December and 5 January.

What to expect: the metro runs only minimum services during the stoppages; these have not been published yet.

Why: the workers want pay and conditions in line with Andalusia's other metro systems; the committee says the two sides are very far apart.
