Galicia, Basque Country and Navarra: 24‑hour strike at Iberdrola facilities on 29 May

CIG and ELA have called a 24-hour strike on 29 May 2026 across all Iberdrola facilities in Galicia, the Basque Country and Navarre. In Galicia this affects 29 installations (hydroelectric plants, substations, wind farms and the A Rúa de Valdeorras headquarters). The workforce cites salaries effectively frozen for 11 years, a 20% loss of purchasing power and collective bargaining blocked for 16 months — against the company's net profits of €25 billion since the last agreement was signed.
